As Founder and Chief Executive Office of Bluebird Lending, Michael Gevurtz is a results driven leader who is responsible for the company’s vision and key relationships. Founded in 2018 as a boutique hard money lending fund focusing on the Philadelphia area, Michael has led the evolution and growth of Bluebird Lending into a national private lender, servicing real estate developers and investors with an array of loan products to acquire, construct, and refinance their properties.
Prior to Bluebird, Michael co-founded Six Stone Management group, a vertically integrated real estate development and management company with a focus on revitalizing Philadelphia’s emerging neighborhoods. Michael has overseen the renovation and group-up development of over 100 single family, mixed-use, and multi-family units.
Michael started his career at Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust as a Site Acquisitions Associate identifying and performing due diligence for the retail power center land acquisition. He was soon promoted to Associate Director of Development, where he managed shopping center and enclosed mall development projects exceeding $50,000,000 throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Michael currently lives in Penn Valley, PA with his wife, Meredith, and two daughters, Kendall and Saylor.
Born and raised in Media, PA, just outside of Philadelphia, Jess Schulman brings extensive financial acumen and operational expertise to his role as Chief Operating Officer at Bluebird A proud Penn State University alum, Jess earned a degree in Economics from the renowned University Park campus and has since held a variety of CFO positions – the most recent at a regional real estate developer. Jess also has a background in Private Equity, showcasing a diverse experience in the financial realm and he’s thrilled to leverage these skills and contribute to Bluebird's ambitious growth plan.
Beyond professional pursuits, Jess embraces an active lifestyle of cycling and fitness classes, while enjoying Philly’s vibrant culinary scene with his wife. He also has a hidden passion for antiques, and one of his most impressive finds was a 1960 Chevy Apache Truck.
